VigorSwitch P2500 Console/Serial/Putty Access? was created by jarnold
Hi all, hoping someone can steer me right.
Got two of these I'd like to put to use. See there is a console port on the back and assuming one of the old RJ45 <> serial cables and putty would get me in to it but what I'm reading makes this look unlikely.
Am I able to manage the switch this way?
Thanks much for any hints!

The switch should have its full CLI management interface available. I believe it may also output some log information through the port, from what I recall?
But if you press enter or start typing, it will prompt to login and then you can manage the switch through the console port.
It should be 115200 baud rate on those switches.
The pinout is the same as a Cisco cable, but there should be cable included in the box.
