Vigor 2862 - no GUI access was created by itaylor
I just bought a 2862 to replace my BT home hub and was hoping it would be plug and play but alas not.
LEDs show that the unit has a dsl connection as the light is steady and the act blinks as it should. Typinghttp://192.168.1.1 doesn’t get me to the GUI and there is no web access at all.
I have tried a factory reset with no luck. I would welcome any suggestions / pointers please as pulling my hair out.

Have you tried setting your IPV4 settings to be in the range of the new router? Only thinking that your computer that is connected to the draytek could have a stuck IP and needs mannually changing?

I am competent at setting up kit but not a network pro so looking stuff up as I go.
I have run the cmd prompt and IP config shows my IP as 192.168.1.1
I will check the IPV4 setting (using network and sharing centre?). Do you know what it should be?

So you say your IPV4 IP is 192.168.1.1 when you IP config in CMD?
What about the default gateway what is that set to?

192.168.1.1 is the address of the 2862, so if your PC also has that address you won't be able to connect. If you set your PC to use DHCP it will be given a different address (alternatively configure a different static address). Plugging the PC into port 1 on the 2862 can sometimes help as this port is always configured with this address.
