Enabling IPv6 with HyperOptic was created by jonny.hyam@mac.com
Dear All,
Has anyone been able to configure a Vigor 2862 with HyperOptic for IPv6?
HyperOptic state the following configuration for non-Hyperoptic supplied routers (HyperHub):
Select dual stack option for WAN interface (IPv4/IPv6)
For address/prefix source select DHCPv6 (not static option)
Enable prefix delegation (PD)
Select SLAAC for IPv6 address creation method
I've set the WAN > Internet Access > IPV6 > Connection Type: DHCPv6 Client
HyperOptic don't offer any configuration details for the following:
IAID (Identity Association ID)
DUID (DHCP Unique ID
Authentication Protocol
I've set SLAAC in the LAN > General Setup > IPv6 > Management...
Won't show a successful IPv6 address on the Dashboard...
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am not familiar with HyperOptic, is it connected to WAN1 or WAN2?
Do you get anything useful in syslog? I find it best with this configured to write to a USB stick.

Dear Richard,
Thank you for your reply.
WAN2 - good point! I will see what I can find in the syslog output and post here.
Kind Regards,
Jonathon

It looks like there is no response either to the Router Advertisement, or the solicit. Do you need to get IPv6 enabled at the other end? I assume IPv4 connects OK?

Agreed. From speaking to Hyperoptic, they tell me IPv6 has been enabled. I need to verify that the supplied Hyperhub will obtain an IPv6 address. Yes, IPv4 works - no problem.
