Vigor 2830 Bridging to a BT Infinity Hub was created by kronos
Hi,
We have a customer who has a draytek 2830 router. BT have come in and installed fibre but unfortunately now they do not provide seperate ethernet modems and its all built into hub.
Previously we would set it up in WAN2 etc and this worked a treat.
BT have told us we can set the hub into bridging mode - can anyone tell me what settings we need to change on the draytek router to make this work (if its workable).
We need the draytek for the LAN to LAN VPN which the BT hubs do not have.
Also do we wire in the fibre cable into the BT hub or the draytek?
Many thanks

Personally I would get rid of Both the BT Hub and the 2830 and stick a 2860 straight in but....
To enable bridging mode on the BT Business Hub 5:
1.On a PC or laptop connected to your hub, enterhttp://btbusinesshub.home or 192.168.1.254
2.Click on Advanced Settings
3.Enter your Admin password if prompted (can be found on the base of your Hub) and click Ok
4.Click Continue to Advanced Settings
5.Choose the Broadband tab, then click on the Routing tab
6.Scroll down to the bottom of the page to Bridging
7.Tick Yes next to Enabled
8.If you're sure click Yes on the next screen
Then use wan2 on the 2830.

Thanks for your help
Is that all you need to do on the 2830?
Do you not need to do VLAN tags or enter username passwords to match the hub?
I totally agree with the 2860 but they are tighter than a ducks backside;)
