2860. Wall mount and Sky Fibre was created by toekneem
Looking to change to a 2860. Can anyone answer a couple of questions.
1.Is the Draytek 2860 wall mountable
2. Can the Draytek 2860 be used on the Sky Fibre service without the use of a SKY modem.
Hope for some answers.
Thanks

Another sky user here
Answer as babis3g is Yes to sky, never tried wall mounting mine but I will look later. Mine is located in a not to easy place to access, especially when SWMBO is around is she dislikes me taking the hall phone stand apart to get to the modem; she's going out later and it's playtime with new firmware too!

If i remember correctly you had a 2760 which works by now for sky as well (according to other users report as i am not sky customer)
http://www.forum.draytek.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=19299&p=79761&hilit=2760+sky#p79761
If you still have that unit you can use it with delight firmware
http://www.draytek.co.uk/support/guides/os-versions-on-vigor-2760-series-routers
The reason is .. if you do have indeed the 2760 has the same chipset (Lantiq) as the 2860 so will not give you any other benefit for your line (what ever synchronization you get with the 2760 you should get & with the 2860 as are same chipsets) apart the routing part, but you need to change it to delight version (has less bugs the menu are faster & has the classic well known dray os which draytek became popular over the years & you can change the snr value for vdsl via telnet it does the same & the 2860 by now)
