Maintenance of lists of Objects and Groups was created by james42d
At present, the only way to alter the numeric (and physical) sequence in which objects and object groups appear in their respective lists is to delete them and re-create them. When a new object/group is created, it is useful to be able to put it next to existing ones of the same kind, but this is not always possible without extensive (and error-prone) deletion and re-entry of object/group definitions. When objects are members of groups, the objects also have to be removed from their groups before this can be done, then they have to be added to their groups again afterwards.
This compromises the usefulness of the object/group facility.
Suggestion:
1. Provide up/down buttons (as you do elsewhere) for the items on lists of objects and object groups.
2. When an object is moved up or down, it should be renumbered. So should any other object which is moved as a result.
3. When an object is renumbered as a result of being moved up or down, references to it in groups to which it belongs should be renumbered accordingly. (So that the actual objects belonging to the groups remain the same before and after renumbering)
4. When a group is moved up or down, it should be renumbered. So should any other group which is moved as a result.
It would also be useful to show a list of the groups to which an object belongs. This could be on the "Objects Setting >> IP Object" page, perhaps as an optional button.

That's nuthin!
Why is there no facility to bulk import objects?
Thought that would be basic...
