Sky Fibre speed issues 2680n VDSL was created by dbigger
Hi everyone,
I have had my 2860n connected for over a month now and I am having issues with the line speed. My sr102 will see the line speed at 25400 down and 3802 up, & speedtest.net confirms this but my 2860 will only see 19880 down but 4020 up, so loosing just under 5mb on my download but gaining 1.2mb on upload.I have checked my download settings and QOS. I am i missing something completely obvious setting it up?
Thanks in advance
David

-set the correct mtu from your isp (usually most users leave the MTU at the default from factory)
-Try an other cable from the phone socket to the wan of the 2860
-disable other wans if you don't use them (wan>general setup)
-Not sure if will help with vdsl but try the commands

if does not work there is a beta that can change the snr value so can increase download speed
The command is for adsl & it works only a beta firmware, i am sure should work & with vdsl
http://www.forum.draytek.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=18995&p=80751&hilit=2860+snr#p80739
If you find the beta (can ask the members in the thread as i am not owner yet of a 2860) replace the telnet command adsl snr -20 with vdsl snr -20
If you can wait should be with the next official firmware release (should be soon out)

May I ask how you have the Sky line connected to the 2860? I have a client that wants to do that but as far as I have been told you cannot use a SKy line with anything other than their router as they do not divulge the user/password details.
