Vigor 2830 open ports not working

Vigor 2830 open ports not working was created by jamesruk
Hi there,
Got a new Vigor 2830, however this is not the only Vigor router I am having this issue with.
Simple fault in that neither open ports, or port redirection will work. The data firewall has not been changed from standard. I have changed the remote management ports from 80 to 81 and 443 to 444, I have also changed the ssl vpn port to 448.
when testing just port 80 to an internal site, port checkers(ping.eu) says the port is closed. however no ports I try work.
Any support would be greatly appreciated.

Open ports is a very commonly used feature...so I'd check if it works from a real
remote client, rather than an online tool/simulator firstly. I assume also that you
do actually have a service running on those ports.

HI there,
Yes I have tried it from a real client, the tool is just a basic checker but does work. There is a internal site that is running on that port so I know that part is ok. It is on the latest firmware also.

try change the SSL VPN > Web Access Control >> General Setup the port to 9443

Also at System Maintenance >> Management have a look if is any conflict or may need to enable internet access from wan
Latest firmware for the Single Band (SB) is 3.6.7.1

The internal site; does it have its default gateway set correctly ?

That is a good question, and may be key to the problem. I can't get access now until I am actually onsite to find out but the next time I am out I will find out
