FTTC and 2830n was created by stevencavanagh
Hi,
I currently have a 2830n on ADSL and upgrading to FTTC fibre with Eclipse Internet shortly.
Firstly, as I understand it the 2830n will work on fibre subject to a VDSL modem.
My questions are:-
Will the 2830n work with fibre
Will the 2830n be able to handle the speed on VDSL (my estimated download speed is 52.6) or should I upgrade to 2920 etc
Steve

Yes but only as router ... you need to connect the BT openreach modem to wan 2 (same at the 2920)at PPPoE mode i think

Yes the 2830n can go up to 90mb ... you should not have problems

Did you get your 2830N to work with the BT Infinity modem? I've just had PlusNet fibre installed, but can't get my 2830n to talk to it. I've set up PPPoE on WAN2 as instructed, but nothing happens. Nothing in the Syslog either. How did you get yours to work?

Hi Guys
Anyone got any instructions to get this work? I'm on the latest 3.6.7sb firmware, seen some broken notes here and there on the web but no step by step instructions
Any help would be great
Thanks
