3200 with three Internet feeds was created by swp25013
We have a Vigor 3200n with three Internet feeds.

ADSL via a Vigor 120 on WAN1
ADSL via a Vigor 120 on WAN2
EFM direct on WAN3

One of the ADSL lines is used as a failover for the EFM and other ADSL line. The other ADSL is used for VoiP.

We are getting a lot of line drops on both of the ADSL circuits, where the line will stay up for a short while, then reset.
We have had the ADSL line providers check and double-check the lines and each line has a clean bill of health.

Are there any settings on the Vigor 120s or 3200n that may need adjusting, or any other pearls of wisdom to stabalise these ADSL circuits.

Thanks,

Steve

Do you know if the line is dropping on the Vigor120, or the V3200 connection?

Perhaps connect the Vigor120 to a spare PC temporarily and see if it's still unstable
to eliminate the V3200.

The 120's DSL light remins lit throughout the disconnection

It appears like the DSL provider's radius server is dropping or losing the connection. The physical ADSL line remains static.

We have tested with another router and the line is stable.

Any ideas...?

The DSL light might be stable but the PPP connection may not be, so I'd really try
the connection directly to a PC to eliminate the V3200.

Hello, could you give a little more info on the services running on each ADSL line? e.g. Be Pro ADSL2+ Annex M Enhanced Upstream.

Do you know if the Vigor 120's are Version 1 or Version 2 ? And could you also confirm the firmware version running on each of them, please?

One thought, on the page http://www.draytek.co.uk/support/kb_vigor100_setup.html is talks about "Some ISPs using MPoA send 'rogue' (invalid) ARP messages to the modem. This will prevent data from flowing to the Internet; the router will show you as online, with an IP address. If this occurs, you will need to telnet to the router (not the modem) and issue the command ip arp accept 1. This is available on the Vigor29XX series routers." I wonder if your 3200 would benefit from the same?

I imagine the phone side of the lines is ok? Microfilters haven't gone daft? No crackles etc. Dial 17070 and option 2 to perform a BT Quietline test.

Best regards,

Neal.
